Trump Blocks Venezuelans’ Deportation in Last Political Gift
In one final political move just hours before the inauguration of successor Joe Biden, former U.S. President Donald Trump issued an executive order shielding more than 145,000 Venezuelan migrants from deportation. In addition to delaying their possible deportation, this order also gives most Venezuelans in the U.S. the right to work.
The order, which is set to last 18 months, cited the “deteriorative condition” of these migrants’ crisis-wracked homeland. Learn more in the article here.
